Ecological table won new talent award

Design Firm Muuto introduced Muuto Talent Award, which calls the new generation of designers to contribute their views on the new Nordic design. The winner was Peter Thorn and Anders Johnsson with Keep the table.

In spring 2009, Muuto invited 20 design schools from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland, to participate in Muuto Talent Award.

The winners have now been chosen; the two interior design students Petter Thorns and Anders Johnsson with their table “Keep”, made from leftover wood. It is a environmentally friendly choice of materials combined with the simple but undeniably Scandinavian design, were included in the jury's reasons for choosing Anders and Petter's table.

– The designers and Muuto have a joint mission to restore Scandinavian design in the spotlight, so we are delighted that so many young designers were interested Muuto Talent Award, "said Kristian Byrge, president of Muuto.
