Kristine Bjaadal explores function.

The tablecloth Underfull is woven use a special and so far secret technology developed by Norwegian designer Kristine Bjaadal. The butterfly pattern on the underlying layer is revealed only when the cloth gets wet.

It still a prototype, developed in collaboration with smart textiles. Hope they get it out on the market soon!
