New bed made in leather
Published: Thu, 2010-01-07 12:53Caracalla is a new bed designed by Emaf Progetti, for the italian designcompany Zanotta. The bed has legs in brushed, nickel-plated steel or covered with Ecopelle or leather. Its frame is in steel, with bent beech strips, and natural varnish finish.
The headboard is quilted headboard and the base upholstered with polyurethane/Dacron Du Pont. The non removable cover is made in Ecopelle or leather. The bed is avaliable in black or white.
Zanotta was founded 1954 in Italy and is today one of the leading design companies in Italy. The company has a history of collaboration with internationally renowned designers like Achille Castiglioni, Marco Zanuso, Ettore Sottsass, Alessandro Mendini, Andrea Branzi and Ross Lovegrove. Many of Zanottas creations are mentioned in design history books and displayed in museums like MoMA and the Metropolitan Museum in New York, Paris' Georges Pompidou Center and London's Design Museum.
