Miniature city skyline
Daniel Libeskind has designed the Libeskind Tea & Coffee Set. It is a piazza around which the pieces in a tea service stand, like so many off-centre works of architecture.
This miniature city skyline reveals the unmistakable hand of the creator of Berlin’s inimitable Jewish Museum, criss-crossed by sharp lines that bring the inclines of the milk jug, the sugar bowl and the teapot to mind. The tray’s irregular shape reveals the imprint of a grid: the layout of a city plan destined to host his towering architecture in silver.
